Since 1955, A 1 Greater New York Tutors has helped students throughout Greater New York City (Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties) receive expert, private, one-to-one, in-home instruction. We can raise their marks in math, reading, science, English, computer, social studies, SAT, GED and any other academic subject and test.

If you decide to allow A 1 Greater New York Tutors to help you, one of our teachers will call you to discuss the academic problems you want solved, explain what he can do to turn things around and set a date for your first lesson. All lessons will take place in your home on a day and at a time chosen by you and the teacher.

Our teachers always begin their first lesson with a diagnostic test designed to pinpoint the student’s strengths and weaknesses. By discovering which topics first caused trouble, which topics are in desperate need of work and which topics have already been mastered, we maintain high standards of professionalism and effectively aid the student in achieving full potential.
